Tasting notes
The nose presents notes of raspberry, strawberry & cinnamon. An array of flavors follow with dusty red cherry & rhubarb. The broad finish shows ripe soft tannins on its length.
Pair with Juicy Buttermilk Pork Chops. Drinking: 2025 -2037, decant in early years.

2022 Holloran Pinot Noir ANA Vineyard
In 2022 the growing season started with early April frost damage at some sites. A very cool, wet April & May gave the growing season a very late start. Good conditions during flowering lead to a robust fruit set for those shoots that survived the frost. The summer was moderately warm with very warm nights, then a very warm September & October saved the day. We picked the Pinot Noir by hand, destemmed 100%, and then fermented in small lots with hand punch downs. After a gentle pressing, we aged it 11 months in French oak barrels, 8% new, then another 7 months in neutral French oak.
